The never ending tour...

The members of The Booze Brothers started playing together sometime in 1985.  The style of music, however, has been consistent since the start, varying from down home blues to good time rock and roll. Heavily influenced by the blues of the likes of B. B. King, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Elmore James and Otis Rush, this band is still more than capable of producing a driving, sweaty rock beat in the style of ZZ Top, the Rolling Stones or Status Quo...

The Booze Brothers' recording debut, the album Evil Morning Blues
arrived in October 1998. It contained thirteen tracks, out of which ten were band compositions. The second album On the Rocks with all original material, was released in September 2000.

The Booze Brothers have spent the last couple of years touring Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Germany successfully. September 2000 saw the band making their first tour of Holland. Other gigs worth mentioning are, to pick a few, the band's performance at the Aalborg Jazz & Blues Festival in Denmark in June 2001, as well as the Romerike Blues & Roots Festival in Norway in June 2002.

In may 2003 the band attended a "Blues Cruise" aboard M/S Peter Wessel alongside artists like norwegian blues comet Amund Maarud and british soul singer Chris Farlowe. In july the band went to Notodden, Norway, for a concert at the Notodden Blues Festival.

In the spring of 2004 The Booze Brothers went to Germany for the first time, making a ten day tour. Later that spring, the band performed a number of shows together with The Wolf Island Horns, who originally played on the band's second studio album On the Rocks.

One of these shows was recorded by Swedish Radio. The recording turned out well enough to make a live album - our third. The result was The Booze Brothers Live... with the Wolf Island Horns, released in september 2004. The summer also saw the band return to Notodden Blues Festival for a second time.

2005 followed with a second tour of Germany, plus a goodly number of gigs in Norway.

In 2006 the band played in a lot of shows both in Sweden and Norway, but one of the absolute highlights this year was a festival gig in Lithuania in July in front of an enthusiastic crowd of 5000 people.

In 2007 they once again headed for Germany - twice; a spring-time tour in March, and a festival gig in July. In May of 2007 The Booze Brothers made their live debut in Spain, but they also visited Norway, Denmark and The Netherlands this year.

2008-2010 was also a good years with a lot of gigs in Sweden, Norway, Germany, Finland and The Netherlands and now it´s 2011 and the never ending tour goes on...
